1. Learning account
You need a GEC learner account to enrol, open lessons, save progress and claim a certificate. Primary sign-in uses your registered email address and GEC password; protected website areas also require a GEC authenticator-app code. Your password is stored only as a salted one-way hash. You must use your own account, keep the password, authenticator setup key and recovery codes private, and not allow another person to use them. Repeated incorrect password or authenticator attempts may temporarily lock access. Follow our account security guidance and visit the Help Centre for registration and login help.
2. Free access
Courses described as free have no course-access fee charged by us. You remain responsible for your internet connection, device, optional software and any third-party service you choose to use. Free access does not create a right to permanent availability, a particular number of lessons or future support.
3. Educational purpose and status
Course material is provided for general learning and skills development. It is not personalised legal, immigration, financial, medical or professional advice. A course does not award academic credit, a professional licence or university admission. Our courses and any certificate we issue are not Ofqual-regulated qualifications and do not carry a Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) level. Completion does not guarantee employment, admission, a visa or any other outcome. If a course later includes a credential from an independent organisation, that organisation and the exact status of the credential will be identified on the individual course page.
4. Your licence to use course content
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the course material for your own non-commercial study while it is available. You may make reasonable personal notes. You must not copy substantial parts, publish, sell, sublicense, translate for distribution, record restricted lessons, remove ownership notices or use course material to train a commercial system without written permission.
5. Acceptable use
Do not share accounts, bypass access controls, scrape or bulk-download content, interfere with lessons or progress records, upload malicious material, submit automated requests, impersonate another learner or use the service unlawfully. Reasonable accessibility tools and ordinary browser features are permitted.
6. Progress, activities and completion
Progress indicators and learning activities are provided as study aids. They may be corrected if affected by an error or misuse. For courses displaying “GEC Certificate of Completion included”, eligibility requires the authenticated learner to mark every required lesson complete. Knowledge checks and quizzes are formative self-checks and are not graded assessments unless an individual course page clearly states different criteria before enrolment.
The certificate is a private Certificate of Completion issued by Global Educational Consultants Limited. It records completion of our learning programme only and must not be described as accredited, Ofqual recognised, RQF regulated, academic credit, a professional licence or an award from a third party. It does not certify identity beyond the authenticated account information available to us, supervised study hours, examination conditions, competence for regulated work or attainment of an external standard.
The learner name is taken from the authenticated account when the certificate is issued. We may ask for proportionate evidence before correcting a name, investigate apparent account sharing or automated activity, correct an administrative error, or withhold or revoke a certificate obtained through impersonation, falsified activity, misuse or a material technical error. The public verification page may confirm the certificate identifier, learner name, course title, issuer, issue date and current validity status. A learner chooses whether to share that hard-to-guess verification link.
An eligible learner may apply through the Student Portal for a Certificate of Completion and accompanying course transcript. The transcript lists lessons recorded as complete and their completion dates. Its result is “Completed”; formative quizzes are self-checks, and their answers or scores are not graded or retained. The transcript is not an academic transcript, credit record or statement of regulated assessment, and it is valid only while the associated certificate remains valid.
Selected digital-marketing, social-media, SEO, entrepreneurship, lead-generation and small-business course pages identify Any Media Boost as the industry learning partner and Ceylon Chat as the digital learning partner. Global Educational Consultants Limited remains the sole course-certificate issuer and verification authority. The partner descriptions and logos do not mean that either partner is an awarding body, accreditor or regulator, and do not turn the completion record into a regulated or externally certified qualification. 7. Course changes and availability
We may correct, update, reorganise, suspend or withdraw course material to improve quality, accuracy, safety or operation. We take reasonable care of the service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Where practical, we will avoid unnecessary disruption to active learners.
8. External tools and links
A course may refer to third-party websites, software or official guidance. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices, prices and availability. A link does not mean that we control or guarantee the third-party service. Check important information at its authoritative source before relying on it.
We will not describe a course as approved, accredited, endorsed or certified by Cisco or any other academy, awarding organisation or technology company unless we have current written authorisation and the individual course page identifies the organisation, credential, eligibility rules and applicable third-party terms. An application, curriculum alignment or use of public learning resources does not by itself create endorsement or awarding-body status.
9. Learners under 18
A learner under 18 should use the service with the knowledge and appropriate supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The learner must also meet the age and consent rules of the account provider and any third-party tool used in a course.
10. Suspending access
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect learners, content or the service; investigate misuse; comply with law; or respond to a serious or repeated breach of these terms. If you no longer wish to learn, you may stop using the service and contact us about deletion of eligible account information.
11. Privacy and security
We use account identity and learning-progress information to provide the portal as explained in our Privacy Notice. Never share a password, one-time code or recovery key with us. Report a suspected website security issue through our Security page.
12. Responsibility and governing law
We will provide the learning service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
13. Complaints, certificate queries and questions
For course-access support, use the Help Centre. To question a progress decision, certificate status or factual course error, email gec.limited@outlook.com with the course title and relevant details. We will review the record, explain the outcome and correct confirmed administrative errors. The same address may be used for questions about these terms.
