Who is responsible for your information
Global Educational Consultants Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at gec.limited@outlook.com, +44 777 124 0002, or 117 St Paul’s Avenue, Harrow, HA3 9PT, United Kingdom.
Information we collect
We collect the details you submit in a consultation request or contact enquiry, including your name, contact details, country, study plans, enquiry type and message. If you use the learning portal or contribute to an article, we receive your name, email address and a site-specific account identifier from ChatGPT sign-in. We store course enrolments, lesson progress, article ratings and comments. If you submit a customer review, we collect your name, email address, selected service, rating, review title, review text and consent record. An approved review displays your name, selected service, rating and review, but never your email address. Your article display name and comment are public; your email address and account identifier are not shown with them. The article archive also contains author names, public comments and dates previously published on our WordPress website. Administrator actions, restricted upload details and short-lived, hashed rate-limit records are recorded for security and view-count protection.
Why we use it
We use consultation and contact details to respond to your request and, where relevant, take steps towards providing education consultancy services. We use account and progress data to provide the learning service. We use customer reviews, article comments and ratings to publish genuine feedback, host reader discussion, measure whether guidance is useful and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions. Customer reviews remain private until an administrator approves them. We use limited security records for our legitimate interests in protecting students, administrators and the website. Where accounting or legal records are required, we process them to meet our legal obligations.
Who receives it
Information is handled by our authorised staff and by hosting, authentication and infrastructure providers supporting this service. We may share application information with universities, education partners or professional advisers when this is necessary for a service you have requested and you have been informed. We do not sell personal information.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we require an appropriate legal transfer mechanism and safeguards from the relevant provider.
How long we keep it
Consultation requests and contact enquiries are normally reviewed for deletion 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Learning accounts and progress are normally reviewed after 24 months of inactivity. Pending or rejected customer reviews are normally reviewed for deletion within 12 months; approved reviews may remain while the customer review service is available, unless removed following a valid request or moderation decision. Published article comments and ratings may remain while the related article and discussion are available. Security rate-limit records are short-lived, and administrator security logs are normally retained for up to 12 months. Records that must be kept for legal, dispute or accounting purposes may be retained for the applicable period.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to how your information is used. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first at gec.limited@outlook.com so we can help.
Children and young people
Some education services may be relevant to people under 18. We aim to collect only information needed to answer an enquiry or provide learning. A parent or guardian should contact us if they have questions about a young person’s information.
Cookies
The current service does not use advertising cookies. Authentication and security technologies may be used where necessary to sign users in and protect accounts. We will update this notice and request consent before introducing non-essential analytics or marketing cookies.
