- Lower second-class honours degree or above in any subject, plus GCSE Maths grade 4 or equivalent
- Sri Lankan qualifications
- Three or four-year Honours or Professional Bachelor's degree with minimum 55% from an accredited university or college
- English (IELTS)
- 6.0 overall (standard); many technical masters require 6.5 with 6.0 in each area
- English alternatives
- Sri Lanka page states English of 65%+ (UG) or 70%+ (PG) in the school-leaving certificate is required alongside the standard IELTS 6.0 level
