- 2:1 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with a substantial amount of mathematics
- Sri Lankan qualifications
- Four-year bachelor's (special/honours or professional) degree with Second Class Upper (2:1), or GPA 3.3/4.0 where only a GPA is given
- English (IELTS)
- 7.0 overall, 6.5 in each component (LSE 'Standard' level)
