- First or upper second class honours degree in computer science or a related discipline (programming experience also required)
- Sri Lankan qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor's degree with GPA 3.3/4.0 for UK 2:1 equivalence or 3.0/4.0 for 2:2 equivalence
- English (IELTS)
- 6.0 overall, minimum 5.5 in each element
