- Degree equivalent to 2:2-2:1 or above depending on institution, in any discipline except business or management
- Sri Lankan qualifications
- Four-year Bachelor degree (Special or Honours) or Bachelor (Professional) with a final overall result of at least 50% (stated on Faculty of Science and Engineering course pages)
- English (IELTS)
- 6.5 overall, no less than 6.0 in all components
