This free, self-paced programme is for learners preparing for internships, apprenticeships, junior roles or a career change into digital work. It contains 20 guided lessons, practical activities and 20 immediate-feedback knowledge checks.
What you will achieve

- Complete safe exercises with fictional, public or non-sensitive information.
- Recognise common risks, limitations and situations that require specialist help.
- Produce a small course project that demonstrates your learning.
- Develop a realistic next-step plan for further study or entry-level work.
Completion and certificate
Complete every required lesson in your learner account to become eligible for a private GEC Certificate of Completion. The quizzes are formative self-checks unless the course page expressly states otherwise. The certificate records completion of this GEC learning programme; it is not an Ofqual-regulated qualification, RQF award, academic credit or professional licence.

Work through the lessons in order on a current browser. Keep brief notes and save only non-sensitive project material. Product interfaces and industry practices change, so confirm important technical steps in current official documentation.
